GETTING OUTSIDE COMFORT ZONE
I have discovered that if I were to not put myself “out there” or in uncomfortable positions, I would absolutely NOT be able to grow, let alone grow to my fullest of potential, which is very sad to me. I think that deep down in each of us, there is a divine desire for MORE. What that is, is solely the purpose of God. If we aren’t living in the purpose of God on our life, we will never experience true fulfillment.
From my experience, every time I have forced myself into new opportunities that are scary to me or push myself out of my comfort zone, I have left with more confidence and the knowledge of my abilities. That I can very well do the very thing the enemy tried to convince me I couldn’t. My mindset hindered the greatest opportunities for me because I believed the lies of the enemy and let fear take the lead. Which has often led me down the wrong paths and into worse predicaments.
Another thing I have discovered is that I uncover a new part of myself that I never knew I could be. I step into a totally different type person through the new displayed confidence. But another thing I learned, is that confidence cannot be based off emotion or sole feeling. It is something you need to exude despite your thoughts of a certain situation. That true display of confidence is tested when you face scenarios that suddenly steal your aplomb, henceforth why it is of necessity to observe your inner self and unveil your true character and abilities and that only comes by doing those hard, uncomfortable things. You need to have the assurance that you do in fact possess a number of unique talents and skills that was given to you by the Most High, which is Jesus Christ.
What does He tell us to have? Courage. In the face of fear and those new adventures that scare us the most, take on courage. Put fear under your feet, understanding the authority and power you possess. It really is a mindset. Get over it. It’s just another mountain you are going to climb over the other side of. You are not defeated. You operate from a place of victory and that is solely because of the work Of Christ on the cross.
Am I going to sit around and be lazy with what I have been given in my life? Absolutely not. God has called us to steward well what we have been given and that also includes the use of my time. What am I devoting it to? Who am I devoting it to? Do you understand the anointing on your life? God has walked into rooms and put your name in them before you even knew. That job. That relationship. God orchestrates it when we allow Him to lead and give Him complete control over our whole being and we submit our plans and our will unto Him. (Proverbs 3:5-6). He is worth it all. Am I going to seek to build myself, my character and my skills by forcing my flesh to do that which is contrary to my feelings. Yes. Even as athletes practice and expound upon what they’ve already been given, that is my goal. (1 Corinthians 9:24-27). To cultivate that which is already in me. Allow God to stir up the gifts in you and pull them out of you like withdrawing money from a bank account. (2 Timothy 1:6). After slowly becoming more and more like who I am fully meant to be, every weight starts to shed off. (James 1:2-5) (2 Peter 1:3-11) (Hebrews 12:1). Fear of man’s opinion. Doubt in my God-given abilities. If God gave me the ability, why would I think for one second that He wouldn’t help me accomplish it. If He's called you to it, He will help you finish the assignments. Because my faith was too much in myself, instead of in God. I needed God to redirect my thought patterns, perspectives, and even my misconstrued beliefs that I concepted somewhere along the way.

What does He tell us to have? Courage. In the face of fear and those new adventures that scare us the most, be bold and take ahold of courage. It is about your mindset. You can’t fail unless you quit. You learn, grow and succeed. Is it a potential job that frightens you? Are you thinking you can’t achieve your goals or meet the standard of others? Do you coward down in the face of a higher up? Take action and walk in a manner worthy of a child of God, as though you already have the job. God has already gone before you.

If He's called you to it, He will help you finish the assignments. If God has given you the ability, why do you assume you can’t accomplish what He has called you to? Confidence is gained by knowing your identity in Christ, then absolutely nothing can deter you. Any person, whatever seems like a setback, being secure in Christ, you learn to adjust to the flow. So take that leap of faith. Take that step. Do whatever Christ is asking you to do. Because you can. In Him. Just make sure to do it WITH Him. Don’t get ahead and don’t fall behind. Stay in step with Him and hold tightly to His unchanging hand.
